Rescue dogs’ grass is greener at Somerset shelter
Rescue dogs at the RSPCA’s North Somerset branch in Brent Knoll, Highbridge are enjoying a new lease of life after LazyLawn was installed at their animal centre.
The leading brand of artificial grass now features in two of the centre’s environment enrichment areas, where the dogs go for rest and relaxation away from the kennels, as well as in one of the dogs’ toileting areas.
Over 500 square metres of LazyLawn‘s best selling Wonder Yarn 26mm was installed at the shelter.
Nikki Tutton, Animal Centre Manager said, “The dogs seem to love their new grass. They run around and rub themselves all over it! Our staff really like it too, one of them even took to throwing themselves on the ground and doing a roly poly when they saw it for the first time!
“The best feature for us is how user friendly it is when it comes to cleaning up following toileting duties. It’s so much cleaner than on natural turf especially in inclement weather.
“It also means that staff and volunteers can take the dogs out of the kennels to play games and have some quiet time on their own without having to worry about either of them getting muddy.’
Nigel Roper of the local LazyLawn branch covering Somerset, said, “LazyLawn is perfect for pets as it is non-toxic, hygienic and it doesn’t discolour as a result of urine and waste. Compared to natural turf, the artificial lawn is resistant to damage by animals, is low maintenance and is the perfect solution for muddy paw prints!”
LazyLawn is the leading supplier of artificial grass in Somerset for both domestic and commercial use.
Recently, the entire LazyLawn network was awarded Which? Trusted Trader status. The company also have over 1,000 five star customer reviews on the popular reviews site Reviews.co.uk.
