Major artificial grass installer, LazyLawn, has rolled out a new play area for The Unicorn School in Abingdon, Oxford.
410 square metres of the brands award winning Wonder Yarn 26mm was used in the installation, which transformed the front of the school into an attractive play area.
The school, which has over 70 pupils, recently held a party in celebration of the new play area. Representatives from LazyLawn attended the event, including mascot Lazy Larry. Children were given balloons and Lazy Larry cuddly toys.
Rowan Knowles, Head of Marketing at The Unicorn School, said: “The children absolutely love their new play area – it really has made all the difference to play time.
“LazyLawn were fantastic to work with and they really understood our vision for the play area. Come rain or shine, the children now want to be outside playing on their new LazyLawn! The children loved meeting Lazy Larry at our recent celebration – they keep asking when he’ll be coming back!”
Andy Driver, Sales and Marketing Director at LazyLawn, said: “It was fantastic to be able to help regenerate The Unicorn School’s play area and give the children somewhere really enjoyable to have fun.
The Unicorn School really is an inspiration – it’s uplifting to see the difference LazyLawn has made and the big smiles from all the children. We thoroughly enjoyed the party and it was fantastic to see for ourselves the children having such a lovely time on their new LazyLawn.”
More and more schools are opting for artificial grass as it is clean, low maintenance and durable in even the busiest of playtimes. The recognition of the benefits of outdoor education also means that more schools are turning outside spaces into classrooms.
