LazyLawn rolls out new play area for local school children

Leading artificial grass provider, LazyLawn, has rolled out a new play area for children from Langham Church of England Primary School in Oakham, Rutland.

The Market Overton based company recently installed 200m² of the award winning Wonder Yarn 36 and Fun Grass in a variety of colours to regenerate the children’s play area.

Consisting of a large patch of lawn with focal points including a roadway, a running track and hopscotch, the new area gives the previously uninspiring playground a whole new lease of life.

Ofsted recognition

In a recent report completed at the school, Ofsted commended the new play area stating: The complete overhaul and redesign of the outdoor area are also contributing to improvements in the early years. The outdoor environment is now an exciting and enjoyable place to learn. It successfully supports children’s learning by motivating them to take part in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities to develop skills across all areas of learning.

Mrs Diane Rowland, Headteacher at Langham Church of England Primary School, said: “The children love their new playground. LazyLawn carried out the project with the utmost professionalism and reliability. The job was completed quickly and with minimal disruption to the staff or children here at Langham. It also looks fantastic and is exactly what we needed!”

The variety of colours that LazyLawn offer allowed us to create something really spectacular for the children to play on. It’s great to see the difference LazyLawn has made and the big smiles from all the children. It really does make it very satisfying to see the impact of the result.”
