LazyLawn rolls out rosy turf for Wear It Pink

LazyLawn Wear it Pink 2014

LazyLawn is doing more than looking pretty in pink this October after rolling out a pink lawn to raise awareness of the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The LazyLawn team have taken the charity campaign’s ‘look good, do good’ motto to heart after donning pink shirts to install the rosy roll of turf in order to raise awareness of Wear It Pink Day on 24th October.

LazyLawn will also be taking to social media to raise funds for the charity by donating £1 for every like or share it receives on Facebook and Twitter.

Andy Driver, Marketing Director of LazyLawn, comments:

“We are always keen to get involved with good causes and Wear it Pink is a great campaign to support, which is why we decided to roll out a special pink lawn for the event.

“Installing the pink turf and having our Derbyshire team wear pink shirts is a fun way to raise awareness of the Breast Cancer Campaign, while also raising money for the cause, and we hope that others will join us in both wearing pink and making a donation.”

Wear it Pink is a cause close to the hearts of the LazyLawn team, after the firm’s Derbyshire licensee, Amanda Ford, was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago.

Amanda comments:

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and my twin sister was diagnosed in 2005; we carry the same BRCA gene as Angelina Jolie and both took the decision to have a double mastectomy.

“Raising awareness is very important to me, so I was keen to get involved in the Wear it Pink campaign and we hope to raise as much money as we can for the charity.”
