LazyLawn gives Bromley a boost

Bromley has been given a major boost thanks to a large-scale LazyLawn artificial grass installation which is helping to increase footfall in the town centre.

Bromley Council called in the UK’s biggest artificial grass brand, LazyLawn, to add the park life effect to the town centre installing 1,000 square metres of its synthetic turf outside Churchill Theatre.

The Bromley High Street Garden will play host to a number of summer events to add that feel good sunshine feeling to Bromley town centre and attract visitors and shoppers to the area.

Normally the area is paved and has limited access to seating, but thanks to the LazyLawn there is much more space for people to sit and relax in the sun (as well as do BMX stunts)! As a result people are spending more time and more money in the town centre, which is great for Bromley.

It is a temporary installation, and the turf is held in place with large quantities of sand, so there is no permanent damage to the pavement. The installation was also completed within a strict time-scale between 5pm and 5am, ensuring local businesses and services were not disrupted by the installation and the specialist LazyLawn team rose to the challenge.

The LazyLawn Events Director said “It’s a fantastic project to be involved with and we are proud that our products can have such a positive effect on the town centre. Our large-scale installations are currently in high demand, having also been installed at Granary Square in King’s Cross and Islington’s N1 Centre, as they provide a vibrant and welcoming area for people to soak up summer.”

The project is supported by the London Mayor’s Outer London Fund, which is dedicated to strengthening the growth of the city’s high streets.
