Ideas for Installed Coloured Artificial Grass
Sometimes it is easy to forget that grass need not be green when it comes to the artificial kind. That is what is so great about coloured artificial grass. The advantages of having ‘standard’ artificial grass include being easy to maintain, being as impermanent or permanent as you like, the possibility to cover both an indoor and outdoor space, avoiding the wear and tear that comes with weather conditions and you can keep clean too. These advantages are heightened when colour comes into it.
What is wrong with green grass?
The answer to that would be, absolutely nothing. Green is as good a colour as any other. When you have more colours at your disposal you have such an opportunity to brighten up any space and get creative. You don’t need to look very far for inspiration — take a look at some of our previous customers, who got their creative juices flowing.
Langham Church of England Primary School, Oakham
Children’s imaginations certainly need no encouragement but Langham Church of England Primary School in Oakham wanted to make their playtime activities that extra bit special, installing a roadway, running track and hopscotch.
Mia Parnell from Hatton now has pink grass in her garden — yes, that’s right, pink. This is a brilliant example of how coloured artificial grass can provide a sensory experience for children with disabilities, encouraging interaction and providing a safe environment for play. As well as being Mia’s favourite colour, it is said that pink is a calming and gentle colour. Colour Psychology: The Emotional Effects of Colours.
Angel Central Shopping Centre in London, known as N1 when they came to us, wanted to create a funky, chilled out summer space in their central piazza. Using their N1 branding, in a Funky™ orange and white coloured turf, we managed to create an outdoor space where customers could take a break and sit down without the fear of getting messy or having to get a blanket out to sit on.
And that is not all…
It goes without saying that coloured turf presents opportunities to create fantastic play and recreational spaces for children. But there’s plenty for the ‘grown-ups’ too. If you need to create a themed space, whether it is related to company branding, special events, workspaces or within tourist attractions and hotels, the sky is really the limit.
