Elderly dogs at RSPCA Derby are enjoying something new in their kennels thanks to a donation from leading Derby based artificial grass company.
LazyLawn Derbyshire has given a generous donation of Wonder Yarn from the award-winning range of products to the charity, which is located on Abbey Street, Derby.
The grass is being used in the kennels to help elderly dogs who struggle to walk on hard concrete.
Molly Letch, Animal Behaviour and Welfare Co-ordinator for RSPCA Derby said:
“I am so happy to see the turf being used around the centre. The animals really love it!
“Some of our older dogs struggle in the kennels and so it’ll be a great comfort for them – literally!
“Thank you so much LazyLawn, we’re so grateful for your kind donation.”
Amanda Ford from LazyLawn Derbyshire said:
“We were delighted to donate the grass to RSPCA Derby and it was fantastic to meet the animals and see how much they already love their new turf.
“Artificial grass is ideal for animals as it is non-toxic, hygienic and does not discolour as a result of urine and waste. We have many customers who opt for LazyLawn as a solution to gardens damaged by pets.
“Our installations are especially great for dogs as owners get tired of them digging up their lawns and bringing mud into the house!
“The lawns can be used all year long and are very low maintenance.”
One happy LazyLawn customer commented:
“After struggling for years with my dog, my lawn was full of dead spots and holes which the dog would dig up.
“After requesting samples from many different companies I settled with Wonder Yarn from LazyLawn.
“My lawn was transformed and now I’m able to just focus on my borders and plants rather than having the never ending battle with my dog to keep the lawn green!”
