Youngsters at a preschool in Suffolk will be racing around at playtime after having their outdoor space transformed with a unique roadway installation from leading artificial grass brand, LazyLawn.
The UK’s biggest artificial grass firm has breathed new life into the playground of Great Barton Pathways, a preschool in Bury St Edmunds, by using 200 sq metres of artificial turf to create a bespoke outdoor play area.
LazyLawn has used a variety of its low pile coloured turf to create the roadway, which comes complete with white road markings and traffic lights, as well as stop and parking signs, all of which was complemented by its authentic looking Wonder Yarn turf.
Julie Goodwin of Great Barton Pathways comments: “The children love their new LazyLawn and we are really pleased with the transformation.
“Previously, it was a hard surface playing area with roadway markings, which we had hand painted ourselves, but it was dull looking and wasn’t very child-friendly.
“We wanted a soft play area and originally looked at having natural grass installed, but decided against it as we wanted something that would be suitable to use in all weathers, without having to worry about mess and mud.
“The area looks much brighter and more attractive now, and we can let the children play without worrying about them falling over or getting muddy.
“The children can’t believe the transformation and love that they can now run and bounce around on the LazyLawn, and it’s been quite a talking point amongst the parents too, who are impressed with our new outdoor space.
“We would definitely recommend it to other schools and nurseries, as it’s easy to look after and can be used all year round.”
Dale Pellat of LazyLawn Suffolk comments: “We are very pleased to hear how happy the children are with their new play area.
“We worked closely with Great Barton Pathways to provide a cost-effective solution to their needs and were able to recommend a bespoke roadway installation using our Wonder Yarn artificial turf, which promises high quality whilst meeting with the project’s budget.
“This is a fantastic product as it is extremely hard wearing and creates a soft, safe and clean surface for children to play on, while also having the ability to bounce back.”
