As garden owners get to grips with a summer of mowing, LazyLawn is declaring June as ‘lose the lawn mower month’.
The UK’s biggest artificial grass supplier is encouraging home owners to ditch the lawn mower and dig up their natural turf in favour of a mower free garden that looks neat and tidy 365 days a year.
With garden owners spending an average of 1.89 hours per week – that’s four days every year – maintaining their lawn, according to a recent survey commissioned by the synthetic turf specialist, opting for a LazyLawn could help them spend more time enjoying their garden.

The research questioned 2,044 British adults (including 1,385 natural lawn owners), found that 74% of natural lawn owners would save up to two hours every week if they did not have to maintain their lawn, while 22% would recoup between two and five hours and 4% would free up between five and 10 hours.
Of those questioned, 1% admitted they dedicate at least 10 hours per week to looking after their lawn through mowing and weeding – that’s three weeks every year that could be spent relaxing in the garden.
As 6,500 people are injured by their lawn mowers every year, according to statistics compiled in 2002 by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, LazyLawn is also encouraging gardeners to stay safe during the summer.
It may be traditional for Brits to tackle gardening projects during the summer but there maybe far more enjoyable ways to spend it, so opting for a lawn that almost looks after itself could save you a trip to A&E, as well as allowing you to spend more time in the garden.
