With the mild start to 2012 and the Xmas holiday season in Dec/Jan, many schools have been upgrading their play areas with LazyLawn synthetic grass. Here are a few recent projects our head office, Nottinghamshire and Bath artificial grass installation teams undertook with stunning results.
All the school projects featured here shared a common problem – the old natural turf was tired, worn out and patchy and this made it hard in summer and not very pleasant to fall on or play on. And when the rain came, the areas turned to mud which in turn limited the childrens play time, and this wasn’t fun for mum who has to wash uniforms every night after school!
LazyLawn was an obvious solution to turn the play areas into a year round soft, green and child friendly space. On hotter days of the year it also makes a fab outdoor classroom – and this freshens up teaching time for kids and tutors alike.
Project 1 (above) was for a major new school development, completed by our expert head office teams. The artificial grass was installed on several areas and included major groundworks and contouring which created a simply stunning result.
Project 2 was for a pre-school in Swindon, Wiltshire specialising in education for 2-5 year olds. They required a space that met there goals as a nursery school – a safe, happy and stimulating environment.

Project 3 used 500 sqm’s of our Lazy Turf, installed over 8 days.

Many schools opt for the regular green artificial grass, (but budget permitting) why not funky up your area with our artificial grass colours? Our specialist cutting technology at the head office allows us to manufacture bespoke play areas – this can include your schools emblem or motto, shapes, numbers, letters or splashes of colour – you could even get the kids to take part in designing the space – how cool would that be?
