Iconic roof restaurant gets a fresh new look

Virgin Limited Edition A prestigious London restaurant transformed its terrace with iconic views of London thanks to a LazyLawn installation.

Babylon Restaurant at The Roof Gardens in Kensington, part of Virgin Limited Edition, now has an elegant and stylish place to socialise, after refurbing its decking with artificial grass. Babylon is located in a landmark building, on the seventh floor of a former department store with impressive views of London’s skyline, and The English Woodland Garden, one of three themed Gardens that make up The Roof Gardens one floor below.

Oliver Shaw, Quantity Surveyor of Virgin Limited Edition oversaw the job: “Considering the amount of foot traffic in Babylon, LazyLawn was the best option to have over a two to three year period.

“It was quickly installed in just one day which meant we didn’t have to close the restaurant.

“We wanted something low maintenance and more economical and LazyLawn did just the trick!”

lazylawn-babylon-restaurant-artificial-grass-seating LazyLawn’s ‘Chill’ range was used throughout the installation. The inter-locking design, two-tone green thatching and the lush texture and appearance of this product, prevents leaks and has created a chic and elegant place to socialise.

Andy Driver, Marketing Director at LazyLawn said: “Our Chill range continues to be very popular. Its durability and low maintenance means it’s perfect for a busy terrace in this case.

“Being easy to use and install means jobs can be done quickly and hassle free.

“Our range of turf is also available in different shades and styles, so we can offer a LazyLawn solution for every garden or landscape project.”
