LazyLawn expands its London presence

LazyLawn London The UK’s biggest artificial grass brand has launched a new London office in order to meet the capital’s increasing demand for LazyLawn.

This investment will see LazyLawn grow its London presence over the next five years, as demand for its artificial grass has increased by 25% in the last year.

LazyLawn, which has rolled out its turf for companies such as Selfridges, JD Wetherspoon, Center Parcs, Hilton Hotels and Big Brother, has moved into a 2,300 sq ft office and warehouse at Oliver Business Park in Park Royal.

Andy Driver, Marketing Director at LazyLawn, comments: “This move comes as part of a LazyLawn expansion and follows a successful year at premises in Chiswick, which we have now outgrown.

“We have now expanded to take on new warehouse space in London, giving us the scope to hold stock and allow for faster distribution across the city.

“Alongside the new premises, we are investing heavily in this expansion with the addition of new teams, new equipment and two new distinctive LazyLawn vehicles, which will allow us to better meet London’s growing interest in synthetic turf.

“We had a bumper year in 2013 with a 25% growth in sales and due to the high number of bookings we have received in London already this year, we are expecting this growth to continue in 2014 as more people join the LazyLawn revolution.”

LazyLawn has secured its position as the nations preferred brand of synthetic turf thanks to its high quality products, such as its number one selling turf Wonder Yarn.

Andy adds: “The rapid growth in LazyLawn’s popularity is all down to the products and home owners, schools, nurseries and businesses are all discovering the many benefits our turf has to offer.

“LazyLawn looks and feels just like natural grass, but is mud-free, mess-free, low maintenance and hard wearing – it’s no wonder people are digging up their turf in favour of our artificial grass.

“Our lawns are so versatile that we’re installing them in roof gardens, hotels, restaurants, beer gardens and even at Heathrow Airport.”

Londoners spend an average of just 74 days per year in their garden, compared to the national average of 95 days.

Home owners in London have been found to spend the least amount of time in their gardens compared to other regions in England, an HSBC garden survey revealed in 2012, but LazyLawn is on a mission to change that with its lush green, low maintenance lawns.

An artificial lawn can even help home owners find more time for relaxing, as a recent survey commissioned by LazyLawn discovered that individuals with a garden spend an average of 1.89 hours per week – that’s four days every year – maintaining their lawn, which could be better spent enjoying time in the garden.

In fact, of the 2,044 British adults questioned in the survey, the 44% admitted they would spend more leisure time in the garden with the time they would save if they didn’t have to maintain their lawn.
