Change the way you play with LazyLawn

The UK’s largest artificial grass brand rolled more than 400 square feet of turf at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Benwell, Newcastle, resurfacing its hard surface schoolyard. The school decided to install the Multi-Soccer lawn over the summer to make the yard more comfortable and attractive and give the children a greater choice of outdoors activities.

Miss Elaine Mathews, Head Teacher at St Joseph’s, said, “The new turf has transformed the yard, and changed for the better the way the children play. Before, they tended just to play football out there, but we’ve noticed they’re now relaxing and socialising more on the grass.

“We can also play different sports on the new turf, such as hockey, and staff and parents have also noticed that the atmosphere has changed in the yard; at the end of the day it takes longer than it used to for the children to leave, as they enjoy the new lawn so much.”

Miss Mathews chose the LazyLawn artificial turf after being impressed by its appearance. “We wanted something that had a real visual impact,” she explained, “and LazyLawn certainly has that - six months later it looks as good as the day it was first installed.”

The high quality artificial grass is proving popular with nurseries, preschools and schools across the country, after transforming hundreds of outdoor play areas over the last few years.

Ian Howe, the local LazyLawn licensee said, “We’re very proud of the way the lawn looks, and we’re finding more schools like St Josephs are interested in getting a LazyLawn for themselves.”

“We think their new LazyLawn will offer St Josephs many benefits, as it is low maintenance, mess-free and suitable for those suffering from hay fever, making it ideal for use all year round.”
