Happy Holidays with LazyLawn

So the Holiday season is well and truly upon us with people jetting off all over Europe and beyond. Last year there was a trend to stay at home due to the recession, and with the economy showing (very small) signs of recovery we are seeing many people going overseas to soak up some guaranteed sunshine!

If you choose to holiday within the UK, there are some great choices at holiday parks and caravan sites with much on offer for the family. Sure, the sunshine might not radiate at 30 plus degrees everyday, but there are many activities and some beautiful scenary all the family can get stuck in to!

LazyLawn artificial grass at Butlins holiday park

LazyLawn artificial grass has been used at many coastal resorts including Butlins on the east coast of England (pictured above), Centre Parcs and Haven.

It has provided a super soft, year round green solution on:

  1. ♦ recreational areas
  2. ♦ landscaped areas (entrances etc)
  3. ♦ crazy golf courses
  4. ♦ 9 hole adventure golf courses

Wouldn’t it also be nice to return to a perfect neat lawn after a holiday with the family?

Returning from hols to an overgrown untidy lawn is always an added chore – after all the washing, ironing, cleaning and tending to the children needs. With a LazyLawn it is one less thing to worry about when you are away.

Have a lovely summer break, I ‘m off to laze in my deckchair.

Garden Games with Lazy Larry

With the weather finally getting a little warmer and the school holidays and Easter coming up, now is the perfect time to get out into your garden. But if your children are out playing on the grass everyday then it can become a little worn, which is where an artificial lawn would be perfect. So once you’ve got that Lazylawn fitted it’s time to head outside and play and Lazy Larry is here with my favourite three garden games to keep your kiddies entertained…

Lazy ALrry garden game on artificial lawn

Obstacle/assault course
An obstacle course is great fun in the garden and is easy to set up. You can do time races or if you have enough equipment you could set up two courses and race at the same time against friends. Just remember to be careful.

Anything in the garden can be used to create obstacles, for example you could use garden chairs or hammocks to crawl under, the garden hose laid out as a snake to step over or carrying a full watering can a certain distance. You don’t even have to worry about your lawn getting damaged as the blades of the artificial grass will recover after activity.

Tag/Tig
Now whether you call it tag, tig or anything else, there are many variations to play and my favourite is Freeze Tag. With one person being ‘it’, they must chase around the other players and tag them. If you get tagged then you must freeze instantly in that position and can’t move again unless you are freed by a different player. You can play until the person who is ‘it’ tags everyone or set a time limit.

Easter egg hunt
Now this is one of my favourites! A great game to play for Easter is hiding eggs in the garden and getting the children to find them, with whoever finds the most being the winner…it’s always me when I play, I’m not lazy when it comes to finding chocolate eggs!. The garden has many great places to hide the eggs such as in plant pots, in bushes, up trees or you could even bury some in the soil and create treasure maps to find them.

So why not get out there and enjoy your artificial grass and play some of my favourite garden games or why not let me know what else you like to play in your garden by sending me a tweet @lazylawn?

It would be great to hear from you and what your lazylawn is to you, because ‘My LazyLawn is… playing lots of fun garden games‘

Lazylawn on TV

Hello again my Lazy friends,

I was lazing around the other day catching up on some TV when I noticed that the grass being used in some programs was our very own artificial grass from Lazylawn!

I kept an eye out to see if I could spot it again and indeed it was. I’ve now seen Lazylawn used on The One Show on BBC1, This Morning on ITV and even Top Gear on BBC2. Our Lazylawn products have also been used within the Big Brother house since 2006 to the final one last year.

Now if I had the chance to laze around on an artificial lawn for a few months whilst being on TV, I would jump at the chance! But you don’t have to be on TV to enjoy a Lazylawn. They offer a variety of different products to suit everyone’s budget so have a look today.

Now back to my lazing –

Dear Lazy Larry

Hey everyone,

Its Lazy Larry here and I’ve been sent a question from one of my animal friends asking about artificial lawn. Now, being the oldest bunny rabbit around at the age of 25 years old I know a lot about Lazylawn so was more than happy to help.

Artificial Lawn question note

Well Doug, we’ve installed many lawns for pet owners and have had very positive feedback. In fact we go as far as putting a logo on our homepage to say its ‘ideal for pets’. And don’t worry about getting told off by your owners for damaging it, the sand filling in the lawn grasses will protect the pile from your claws.

So have no fear my friend, artificial grass is just as good to roll and run round on!

Hhhhmmm, that gives me an idea! I should start up my own help centre for anyone to ask me about artificial lawns! It might involve me doing more work and being less lazy, but I could ask Lazylawn for a pay rise of my special carrots!

Until next time folks –

Lazy Larry

O Lazylawn Lazylawn, wherefore art thou Lazylawn?

Have you seen the latest 3D animated blockbuster ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’? It brings Shakespeare’s classic ‘Romeo & Juliet’ tale out into the garden and replaces the human characters with blue and red hatted garden gnomes. If you haven’t yet seen the trailer then you can here or have a look at the image below to see the bright vibrant lawns of the blue and red gnomes.

Artificial lawn in Gnomeo & Juliet

Now, we know its computer generated grass, but with a Lazylawn artificial lawn you could make your garden just as bright and vibrant. An artificial lawn can help enhance your garden with a natural looking green lawn all year round but without the mud, mess and stress of caring for it.

So while we can help you with an artificial lawn, you’ll have to find magical talking gnomes that want to take over your neighbour’s garden on your own!

Enjoy the film –

Out of the Woods enhance their outdoor areas with LazyLawn

In conjunction with the local authority new business development department, the Out Of The Woods (OOTW) owners wanted to enhance their entrance and outdoor area using fake grass. This naturally worked very well with the juice bars name ‘Out Of The Woods’ which refers to an outdoor experience.

Lazylawn has seen an increase in commercial areas requiring artificial grass in the drive to transform awkward corporate spaces into a stylish, low mainenance area for both the public and staff to enjoy. We are constantly improving and producing new highly realistic looking grasses such as the Lazy Supreme V2 and Signature, so be sure to come back regularly to see what’s new!

A trendy hangout in Holbeck Urban Village (just a 10 minute walk from Leeds City Centre), OOTW serves teas, lattes, bites and smoothies (and has free Wifi!), so what are you waiting for? Get yourself down and support this new business and see for yourself how realistic the Lazylawn looks.

Check  back soon  for more updates .

Bye,

Lazy Larry.

Room with a View

WOW, that’s the first thing that I said when I saw this picture!

Isle of Man Installation

Artificial Grass on a Roof Area

A fantastic development by the owners completed with a LazyLawn artificial lawn overlooking the Irish Sea. The owners have had a number of home improvements including many bespoke aspects (windows, furniture, stair case).

With the slowdown in the housing market this past 24 months or so, we have not just seen homeowners remaining where they are and not moving, we have also seen many people opting to holiday in the UK, or not going on vacation at all and staying at home. This way of thinking has also led to homeowners developing their existing properties inside and out – the don’t move, improve option!

This can mean decorating on the inside of the property – wall papering, painting, installing new carpets, refurbishing furniture or an extension maybe. Also, on the outside, people are not only content with trimming their hedges and growing new plants, they are looking to add value and this may be adding an outdoor room or patio area or it could entail some hard landscaping work or funky modern touches, with outdoor lighting or Artificial Lawn.

LazyLawn is a new type of artificial lawn, highly realistic and super soft to the touch and it now means developing outdoor space using artificial grass is often preferred to natural turf. This is due to the many practical benefits and cost savings over a 10 year period versus the natural grass. The low maintenance aspect works with peoples busy lives and when it looks so good, why wouldn’t you want it? Think of all the cost and time savings of watering and maintaining a real grass area, and it really does make sense to make the switch to the synthetic alternative.

On roof areas (as in the image shown above & below), it is super difficult to maintain real grass on an elevated area and also once the wonderful patio doors are open on this property it means you can utilise the whole space as one without the fear of dirt transferring onto the lush indoor floor coverings. This is modern living.

Whilst over in the Isle of Man the super LazyLawn team also went on to complete another successful large putting green installation. A picture of the finished area can be found below.

Bye,

Lazy Larry.

An Indoor Artificial Lawn…

Our range of artificial lawn products are primarily designed for landscaping and outdoor use, increasingly however, we have had more and more customers purchasing LazyLawn products for indoor use.

Some customers choose to decorate internal areas to transform their space into an indoor oasis; others like to create soccer or other sporty themes for their children’s bedrooms, and these can be really quite effective!

Our products have been used in office areas and chill-out spaces particularly in the trend-setting city of London. Hotels and indoor play spaces are also popular areas where LazyLawn can be found.

Most of this interest has been stimulated by the use of our products in exhibitions and point of sale areas – many high street stores and leading brands use LazyLawn to launch new products and create additional interest to their displays.

In Laurence Llewelyn-Bowens new book Decorating (Quadrille Publishing Ltd, available from Waterstones, £18.00), Laurence uses LazyLawn for a large hallway space. Laurence identified the practical benefits of the ‘Lazy Summer 20’ product as it performs well in high impact, heavy use areas. The use of artificial lawn in the space also worked really well as the room was the main access to the garden, so it effortlessly tied the two areas together. The green of the fake grass also enhanced the art noveau bridge walkway. LazyLawn is also tough and practical and soft underfoot and gives an amazing outside vibe. You can see the beautiful result in the picture below:

LazyLawn Artificial Lawn Poem…

A poem from a satisfied customer…

Mary had a lovely lawn,
her fathers pride and joy,
he bought the latest mower,
which became his favourite toy,

fed, watered cut and weeded,
and where the little lamb had been,
a new bit must be seeded,

All Sundays Mary’s little lamb,
took Mary for a walk,
it was a little lonely,
Then Mother put her foot down,
“I’ve had enough!” she said,
“Our weekends are a misery,
we might as well be dead.”

“You’ll have to choose – me or the lawn,
I want to buy a life.”
“Buy LAZYLAWN you silly man,
or get another wife!”

He did, and now their LAZYLAWN,
is beautiful forever.
Mary, Mother, lamb and Dad,
they all have fun together.

Be a LAZYLAWN family, get a life, get a LAZYLAWN!
